Checkbook offers the ability to send payouts directly to recipients’ Venmo wallets. As digital wallet adoption continues to accelerate, over 70 million users utilize Venmo for convenience, speed, and intuitive payment experiences. Common use cases for Venmo payouts include:
Promotional Credits: Distributing small credits to users who are familiar with and actively use Venmo.
Rewards and Refunds: Processing refunds and rewards in real-time
Small, Informal Payments: Sending small amounts to individuals, such as reimbursements among small teams or casual payments to gig workers in specific contexts.
Limits
Venmo sets a per-transaction dollar limit at $60,000 per transaction. While this is the rail-level maximum, Checkbook limits still apply.
Details
When a Venmo payout is sent to the email or phone number associated with the Venmo account, the recipient will receive an email notification from Venmo and can also view the payment within their Venmo app:
